About the role
As a Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process. Your key tasks will involve operating and maintaining production equipment to uphold our high standards of quality and efficiency. This position requires a sharp attention to detail, a commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to collaborate effectively with your team to meet production goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor production line machinery, conducting routine inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols to create a secure workplace and work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production targets and maintain quality standards
- Accurately document production metrics and promptly communicate any issues to management for swift resolution
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus
- At least one year’s experience in machine operation
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; including distinguishing color
- Proficient in math for calculating percentages, areas and volumes
- Ability to set up computer-aided machinery, with a solid understanding of Windows-based computers
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Dependable with a track record of good attendance and punctuality
- Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary
Schedule
- Current Overtime Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-4:00am
- 90-day work assignment, which includes a 30-day attendance required period for training purposes
- After 75 working days, you may be eligible for full-time employment if you maintain good standing with the company, including attendance, performance and teamwork
- Overtime work is required
Pay
- Hourly rate: $19.50
- Previous experience in manufacturing environment could earn up to $2.00 more an hour
Physical Requirements
- Standing for long periods, stooping, walking, bending, pulling, climbing and lifting materials up to 50lbs
- Exposure to various machinery and materials
- Working environment is a production facility with a focus on safety and teamwork
