Machine Operator

About the role

As a Machine Operator, you will play a key role in supporting production operations by safely operating equipment, maintaining product quality standards, and ensuring efficient manufacturing processes. This position is responsible for loading materials, operating machinery, monitoring production output, and preparing finished products for packaging and shipment. You will work closely with the production team to meet daily production goals while adhering to all safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate production equipment and monitor output
• Load materials and prepare finished products for packaging and shipment
• Perform normal cutoff roll operations and restart boilers and compressors as needed
• Apply cement throughout the production process and blast rolls when required
• Assist in training team members and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the facility
• Identify and address minor operational issues and follow work instructions accurately
• Lift, move, pack, and handle production materials and finished goods
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or industrial experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production equipment safely and efficiently
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to achieving production goals
