About the role
Machine Operators execute and optimize one or more manufacturing processes in the production of fluid mounts, torque rods, and related components. This role ensures safe, efficient machine operation while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality and consistently meeting production targets. Operators actively support lean manufacturing initiatives, apply disciplined execution practices, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Through collaboration across production, materials, and logistics teams, they help enhance safety performance, delivery reliability, and overall operational effectiveness.
Compensation
- Starting Pay: $20.23 – $22.98 per hour
- Shift Premiums: $1.00/hour for 2nd shift; $0.75/hour for 3rd shift

Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery, rep presses, assembly lines, and other production equipment
- Produce parts according to work orders, engineering specifications, and material control instructions
- Maintain required production levels while ensuring all parts meet quality standards
- Perform first-piece inspections and ongoing in-process inspections to verify conformance to specifications
- Prepare (prep) parts for final production, including removing flash and checking for defects
- Set up machines to job requirements
- Monitor machine operations to detect defects, malfunctions, or material issues
- Measure workpieces using appropriate measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracy
- Complete and maintain accurate production, scrap, and quality documentation
- Participate in job rotation and cross-training to support operational flexibility and ergonomic practices
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and 5S workplace organization standards
- Identify and report equipment or quality concerns to supervision
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform all other additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to read, understand, and follow instructions, safety rules, job specifications, and operating manuals. Ability to write and comprehend simple correspondence and complete required documentation in English. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to recognize operating errors and take appropriate corrective action. Ability to produce quality parts while maintaining required production levels and quality standards. Ability to inspect and prepare (prep) parts according to specifications. Proficient in the use of basic hand tools and measuring instruments. Ability to maintain accurate production and quality records. Ability to participate in job rotation and cross-training initiatives. Comfortable working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Good attitude. Knowledge of and commitment to 5S workplace organization standards. Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
- Physical Demands: Prolonged standing with frequent use of hands to handle tools and materials. Frequent reaching, bending, crouching, walking, and stooping. Regular lifting of up to 40 pounds; heavy lifting may be required. Visual acuity includes close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to move throughout the manufacturing facility safely and efficiently.
