Machine Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Operate grinding and/or baling equipment and other related production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move, load, and stage materials using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Absorb and assist with equipment setup, cleaning, and routine maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures.
• Perform other production duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• 1 years of manufacturing, recycling, or grinding operation experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Regularly stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Use hands and arms to operate machinery and equipment.
• Bend, kneel, crouch, and lift materials throughout the shift.
• Communicate effectively with fellow employees and supervisors.
• Safely operate forklifts and industrial equipment.
• Maintain close and distance vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision necessary for operating machinery and completing documentation.
• Work in varying temperatures, humidity, moisture, dust, and dirty environments.

Work Environment

• This position works in a manufacturing and recycling facility environment.
• Exposure to moving mechanical equipment, industrial noise, dust, and fluctuating temperatures.
• Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
