Machine Operator

Position Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize (before shift starts)
• Operate, and change parts if needed
• Perform visual inspection of the product and documentation
• Operate machinery designated by line
• Report any material that does not meet high quality standards
• Complete and fill out documentation
• Report any issues with machinery or product including metal detector to upper management
• Perform proper cleaning procedures for machine and floors between products and as needed
• Eliminate any possible cross-contamination of product in the area
• Wear corresponding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure his own safety and others
• Maintain all equipment in good condition during any usage, storage and sanitized
• Keep good housekeeping practices throughout the company especially in assigned areas
• Perform inspection of machinery including pre-operational inspections
• Familiarize and obtain knowledge through operating systems (RedZone)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• Preferred operating manufacturing machinery experience
• High School Diploma required
• Preferred food manufacturing environment
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) experience preferred
• Able to work with positive attitude in a high stress environment
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must have good written and oral communication skills
• Flexible availability to work Saturdays due to business needs

Pay

The pay for this role in the state of NJ is $17.70/hr and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location
