Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate MPE CTL Department equipment within production goals and standard set-up times.
• Manually sort MPE tubing.
• Ensure specifications are met by changing and setting prescribed tooling to suit tubing size, adjusting arc and pressure to accommodate material variations.
• Proficiently use equipment required by job function, including changing and adjusting blades as needed.
• Use jib crane or overhead crane to position coils on pay-off.
• Operate electric pallet jacks to maneuver spools.
• Set up and operate cutting equipment, including clamping jaws, guards, and stops.
• Work to production orders, packing specifications, and instructions.
• Select proper materials for packing based on product specifications and requirements.
• Prepare packaging materials, including pre-making boxes, stocking bins with filler, pre-cutting paper, and prepping totes/pallets.

Requirements

• Ability to exercise judgment within the limitations of standard methods and procedures.
• Proficiency in basic math.
• Ability to read and interpret simple reference materials such as printed instructions and blueprints.
• Experience operating a jib crane, overhead crane, and electric pallet jacks.
• Proficient use of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and fixed gauges.
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of process-related standards.
• Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external team members.
