Machine Operator

Position Overview

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment used in the manufacturing of modular closet components. This includes CNC machines, edge banders, drills, and saws to ensure accurate, efficient, and high-quality production.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced in a fast-paced woodworking or cabinetry manufacturing environment.

Machine Operation

• Operate CNC routers, edge banders, panel saws, and drilling machines to produce closet components
• Set up machines according to job specifications, drawings, and production schedules
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure precision and quality

Production & Quality Control

• Follow work orders and technical drawings to meet product specifications
• Inspect finished components for defects, accuracy, and quality standards
• Maintain consistent production output to meet daily and weekly targets
• Report any product or process issues to supervisors
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor adjustments on machines
• Absorb routine cleaning and preventative maintenance
• Work closely with maintenance technicians to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime
• Support other areas such as assembly or staging when needed
• Communicate effectively regarding production status or issues

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Properly handle materials and operate machinery safely
• Clock with production supervisors and team members to ensure workflow efficiency

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating manufacturing or woodworking machinery preferred
• Familiarity with CNC machines, edge banders, or similar equipment is a plus
• Ability to read measurements, blueprints, and work orders
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift and move materials (typically 25–50 lbs)
• Perform repetitive tasks and operate machinery safely

Exposure to machinery, wood dust, and noise (PPE required)
