Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Assist in the smooth operation of production lines and machines, including loading and feeding material.
• Support monthly maintenance and upkeep of machinery.
• Review machine specifications and material requirements.
• Report any machine problems in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to 5S principles.
• Foster a helpful and friendly working relationship with fellow employees.
• Comply with all applicable customer, safety, ISO/IATF 16949 QMS, and ISO 14001 EMS requirements.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Mental and Physical Requirements

• Ability to maintain concentration with frequent interruptions.
• Professional, well-groomed appearance and attire.
• Ability to wear protective safety equipment for a 12-hour shift, including hard hat, gloves, long sleeves, safety glasses, protective footwear, and ear plugs.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to operate a forklift up to 50% of the shift.
• Ability to perform team lifts (2-person lift) of 60 lbs several times during the shift.
• Ability to single lift 30–40 lbs repeatedly during the shift.
• Ability to lift, twist, push, and pull.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (active pursuit of GED considered).
• 1 year of related experience or training.
• Experience with a forklift.
• Ability to apply basic math skills.
• Plastic compounding experience preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $20.50–$21.00 per hour. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence the base pay offered. This salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment if authorization is granted to work outside the location listed in this posting.
