Machine Operator

Main duties

• MACHINE OPERATOR
• Reports to Production Supervisor
• Participate in and support the Mersen Quality System
• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of large machines
• Perform machining operations involving close tolerance and finish specifications
• Operate machines to produce pilot pieces for inspection
• Check setups and make adjustments to correct variances
• Work from part drawings, specifications, setup and operating instructions
• Use a wide range of precision measuring instruments and devices to set up, operate and check work
• Be responsible for final inspection under general supervision
• Continually improve and monitor quality through product delivery, conformance and performance

Minimum Qualifications

• Suggested high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One or two years related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
