About the role
The Machine Operator position reports to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for operating machines in the Cup Department, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently, and making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties related to cup production, including producing cups, replacing rolls, operating machines, bagging products, assembling boxes, packing products, stacking and labeling boxes.
- Make adjustments to machinery according to product specifications.
- Perform preventive and general maintenance on equipment.
- Handle requisitions of raw materials, process finished goods, and maintain accurate production and equipment records.
- Keep work area and machinery clean and in good working order.
- Maintain required production output levels as specified by supervisor.
- Ensure the smooth and consistent flow of the entire department.
- Report and document quality issues, equipment issues, and personnel issues to relevant managers.
- Inspect products to identify and report possible defects.
- Work and coordinate within the product flow of the department and with supervisor.
- Assist with routine inventory checks as needed.
- Adhere to the Lighthouse safety plan and perform duties in compliance with the LHB ISO Quality system procedures.
- Conduct all business in a positive, professional manner and maintain a strong team-building environment.
Requirements
- High School / GED preferred.
- Ability to operate and perform basic maintenance on cup machinery.
- Basic math skills and ability to read and write.
- Two years of experience operating and maintaining industrial machinery preferred.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work well in a team environment, be dependable, and willing to learn. They must be able to lift 60 lbs. on a regular basis and travel throughout the facility.

Ability to operate and perform basic maintenance on cup machinery, basic math skills, and ability to read and write.

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour.
