Machine Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join a premier manufacturing company in Indianapolis, IN. This role offers competitive pay rates and the potential for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Learning to operate various types of equipment
• Making minor adjustments during production runs to ensure quality parts
• Reporting issues to the Group Lead
• Reading setup sheets and routing packages to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements
• Conducting quality inspections as per written Quality Procedures and completing production records

Requirements

• Experience with tube or sheet metal fabrication (preferred)
• Mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency in shop math
• The ability to read and follow routing and setup instructions
• Capable of standing for 8-hour shifts or longer and performing physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and lifting parts

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Basic understanding of metalworking processes
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures

Pay

• 1st Shift: $19/hr (5am - 3:30pm)
• 2nd Shift: $21/hr (3:30pm - 2am)
• Overtime is mandatory, with a weekly total of 58 hours

Schedule

• 1st Shift: 5am - 3:30pm
• 2nd Shift: 3:30pm - 2am
