About the role

The Machine Operator / Inspector sets up and operates injection molding equipment, monitors machine performance, and inspects finished products to ensure quality standards are met. This role works closely with maintenance personnel to support proper machine functionality while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines according to established procedures.
  • Work with maintenance personnel to identify equipment issues and help maintain proper machine functionality.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and verify that parts meet required quality standards.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
  • Assist with basic machine troubleshooting when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule

  • Day shift: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, four days per week.
  • Occasional overtime may be required based on production needs.
  • Light industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Casual dress code.
  • Training is provided.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • At least one year of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Previous machine operation experience preferred.
  • Hi-Lo/forklift experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic machine troubleshooting skills preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate paperwork.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to safely work around manufacturing machinery and equipment.
