Machine Operator

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Select positions and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines using computer-controlled equipment.
• Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete routine tasks according to specifications.
• Performs quality control checks and troubleshooting as needed.
• Records and maintains accurate data in production logs and electronic systems.
• Maintains and troubleshoots machines as necessary.
• Ensures adherence to safety protocols and complies with all regulations.
• Collaborates with team members to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Trains new operators on proper machine operation and maintenance.

Skills

• Strong mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to navigate and operate applicable machines.
• Proven history of high-level measuring experience.
• Accurate input of data into production logs and electronic systems.
• Familiarity with quality control systems/software for recording and analyzing inspection data.
• Understanding and navigating electronic manuals or documentation.

Physical Requirements

• Manipulate small parts and operate controls with precision.
• Handle tools, adjust machine settings, and place/remove workpieces.
• Lift, position, or secure heavy workpieces, tools, or machine components.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Sustain focus and perform tasks consistently throughout a shift.
