About the Role
We are looking for an Automation Technician who will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining assigned equipment to ensure they meet the facility production schedule.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of material to run through automated equipment.
- Operate assigned equipment ensuring production demands are met, including but not limited to:
- Label applicator
- Flower Bagging Machine
- Pre Roll Machine
- Cartridge filling equipment
- Record data and movement as needed; monitor computer interface while equipment is running.
- Follow cleaning schedules assigned by the Supervisor to ensure cleanliness and good working order of equipment.
- Take inventory of all materials including supplies, consumables, and spare parts for equipment.
- Set up, troubleshoot, and perform routine and preventative maintenance on instruments; resolve front-line equipment challenges and escalate accordingly.
- Actively participate in internal and external inspections and audits.
- Obtain training and certification to utilize all equipment, and actively research ways for improvements.
- Work cohesively with the Packaging Supervisor and other key team players to develop and revise SOPs.
- Execute packaging operations in accordance with all written SOPs and local and state regulations.
- Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures; ensure all quality standards are adhered to.
- Collect, compile, and report on production, product-specific data, and ensure the team is meeting their KPIs.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations, enforce company policies and SOPs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures.
- Previous experience in a labor/general labor role strongly desired.
- Basic weights and measurement skills; ability to operate a scale.
- Ability to complete work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity.
- Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and/or holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to obtain & maintain required state licenses based on work location.
