Position Summary

Bush Hog, RhinoAG, and Dixie Chopper are among the most recognized and successful brands in the Agricultural and Outdoor Power Equipment industries. The Machine Operator II is a key position in the Company and will support and contribute to the company goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention.

Essential Functions Of The Job

  • Focus, communicate, encourage and contribute to Safety in all aspects of the job and all company meetings
  • Set up, adjust and operate drill presses, presses, press brakes or roller machines to produce identical parts as specified by blueprints
  • Maintain production quantity, efficiency and quality on produced parts
  • Examine parts for quality compliance using blueprints, calipers, micrometers, tapes and high level math
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines
  • Locate and move parts as needed using a walk behind lift
  • Ability to train others
  • Perform all other duties assigned by Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSA’s)

  • Capable of performing standard measurements using geometric tools (Tape Measure, Protractor, etc.)
  • High level math and reading skills needed
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions and make minor decisions involving some judgment in carrying out instructions
  • Minimum dexterity required for use of hand and power tools
  • Able to operate under pressure
  • Able to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance
  • Able to have good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to have a valid Drivers License

Education And Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1 year experience as a Machine Operator I required

  • Conditions for this position include the ability to work in cramped spaces, to stand approximately 8 hours per day, able to stoop and reach around on a constant basis, able to work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing plant environment, able to see, hear, speak and use hands and fingers to use tools and equipment.
