Machine Operator

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company with a rich history and a bright future. Join us at our Hampden, ME facility as a Machine Operator, specifically as a Grinding Operator.

Responsibilities

• Review and follow manufacturing orders (MOs) upholding quality control standards
• Load and unload saws from multiple grinding machines
• Set up machine parameters per customer's specifications
• Basic programming and adjust tip grinders
• Identify and change grinding wheels
• Collaborate with technician to trouble shoot minor machine problems
• General cleaning of machines and area, adding coolant to machines when needed
• Cross-train to other positions as requested
• Actively participate in LEAN training as requested, provide observations and suggestions, implement continuous improvements, and promote and adhere to safety standards of the company

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old or older
• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Machine Operator, preferably as a Grinder Operator
• Work well with coworkers to troubleshoot problems
• Able to accomplish daily work requirements to meet customer demands
• Able to speak and read English, and do basic math
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

$20.00 - $21.00 USD per hour
