About the role
ALPLA is a global family-owned, privately held company that makes innovative, customized, recycled packaging for top companies such as P&G, Unilever, L'Oréal, and Pepsi. This position involves overall line responsibility from production to packaging in a plastics manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Start and stop the machine
- Perform parison controls and monitor material control (weight distribution, regrind levels, watch tail lengths, etc.)
- Conduct regular quality control throughout the shift and visual quality checks
- Prepare machine for mold change
- Ensure goods are produced in correct quantity and in accordance with agreed specifications
- Accurately record goods produced and problems encountered during shift
- Perform line clearance and autonomous maintenance activities
- Assist Machine Operator II/Shift Supervisor/Mold Change Team with mold/color changes as needed
- Work collaboratively in a team to maintain efficiency
- Maintain good housekeeping in and around the machine and within the department
- Adhere to all ALPLA policies, procedures, and Safety Standards (OSHA) in a safe and environmentally responsible manner

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical/mechanical background in the Plastics Industry preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated mechanical ability
