Machine Operator (Assistant Press Operator)

Pay
$23.00–$30.25/hour, with a $1.25/hour shift premium for night shift, based on experience.
Schedule
12-hour shifts: 3:00 AM–3:00 PM or 3:00 PM–3:00 AM. Alternates between 36 and 48 hours per week, resulting in working only half the days in a year.

How you will make an impact
This role is an important part of the printing process, assisting your press team by creating paper signatures that become book pages.
Responsibilities
- Make-ready, run, and maintain an offset printing press
- Insert blankets and plates
- Assist the Press Operator by making register and color adjustments
- Work in a team environment and cross-train with others
- Receive training to help advance your career
Requirements
- Attention to detail
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Teamwork
- Ability to lift and carry 20 to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for the entire duration of your shift
Previous press experience is preferred, but we will provide the training needed to be successful.
