Machine Operator Assistant
Job Description
Aid in operating assigned Extrusion Machines at the required pace. Collaborate with Machine Operator A's to ensure production flow and perform light troubleshooting. Execute set-up, change-over, and shut-down tasks. Continuously monitor extrusion and winding machinery for quality and efficiency. Diagnose and adjust machines to resolve issues and maintain run rates. Conduct quality checks at prescribed intervals. Perform material tasks related to assigned operations. Complete required paperwork, including Operator Report, Quality Checks, and other forms. Promptly inform supervisors about health and safety concerns, hygiene issues, quality problems, and inefficiencies. Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Adhere to safety procedures and policies. Support other operators as needed. Communicate production information verbally and in writing.
Qualifications
- Machine operator experience or equivalent maintenance/mechanical experience
- Demonstrated mechanical experience required
- Good communication skills—written and verbal—are essential
- Basic math proficiency required
- Ability to use tools as required
- Effective teamwork skills are essential

Pay and Schedule
- Starting pay rate: $21.86 per hour
- Eligible for annual wage increases
- Eligible for monthly bonus based on plant productivity
- Available shifts: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM/7:00 PM-7:00 AM (rotates every 3 months)
- Schedule: 2x2x3
