Job Description
Produce product using high-speed printing equipment in compliance with Safety Programs and Quality Assurance Systems to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Aid and function as backup to Machine Operator to produce quality product at target machine speeds using safe work practices
- Read & understand Production Order Packet (POP); prepare all machine components for production
- Follow designated procedures to requisition or return components & materials, inspect components & materials, install components & materials, complete pre & post production activities
- Assist with set-up and/or change over activities with in allotted time
- Participate in Preventative Maintenance Activities as assigned
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures
- Actively engage in safety programs
- Effectively communicate with team members across shifts
- Aid and train other team members as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of six months experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably with a high-speed process
- Commitment to an accident-free and drug-free workplace
- Quality-conscious, oriented to excellence
- Strong work ethic evidenced by enthusiasm, positive attitude, and high energy level
- Well-developed problem-solving skills; creative, out-of-the-box thinker
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements
- Frequent talking and hearing
- Occasional walking, climbing, squatting & stooping; reaching with hands and arms; using hands and fingers to feel, handle, push/pull levers & buttons, and operate various tools
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
- Close vision and ability to adjust focus
