Machine Operator 3rd shift

Responsibilities

• Operate and calibrate machinery and equipment (i.e. booking press, drum unit, window RUVO, handtools) in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure quality standards by completing KQI’s for both units and the wet system.
• Set up slabs as appropriate.
• Ensure inventory is adequate. Inform group leader or supervisory of shortages.
• Keep area and equipment clean, maintained, and organized in a safe manner.
• Adhere to all safety training, policies, and procedures.
• Work safely and report unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift 30 - 50 lbs.
• 1-2 years production experience preferred or experience running machinery.
• Able to read and write a limited number of words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.
• Able to count and perform simple math operations to determine information such as weight, temperature, and quantity.
• Able to perform lockout tagout.
• Able to meet production and quality standards.
• Able to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team.
