Responsibilities
- Operate and calibrate machinery and equipment (i.e. booking press, drum unit, window RUVO, handtools) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure quality standards by completing KQI’s for both units and the wet system.
- Set up slabs as appropriate.
- Ensure inventory is adequate. Inform group leader or supervisory of shortages.
- Keep area and equipment clean, maintained, and organized in a safe manner.
- Adhere to all safety training, policies, and procedures.
- Work safely and report unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Able to lift 30 - 50 lbs.
- 1-2 years production experience preferred or experience running machinery.
- Able to read and write a limited number of words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.
- Able to count and perform simple math operations to determine information such as weight, temperature, and quantity.
- Able to perform lockout tagout.
- Able to meet production and quality standards.
- Able to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team.
