Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
SUMMARY
The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot a variety of assigned machines and will also be responsible for inspecting components to specifications. Operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively operate a variety of machines and maintain quality of packaging within assigned Center of Excellence.
- Maintain a constant vigilance to the quality of the packaging process and reports issues when they arise in a timely manner to the mechanic.
- Clears jams, changes labels, replaces ribbons, films, tape, neck band material, cotton and adjusts accordingly.
- Records necessary data as required on all machine logs, downtime reports, and material yield logs.
- Checks quality Lot# Exp Date of packages in assigned room and assists with equipment challenges.
- Reads and understands Human Machine Interface screens and alarms.
- Communicate with Line Leader and Material Handlers to ensure all production components are never in shortage.
- Maintains cleanliness of equipment and work area.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job normally has no supervisory responsibilities.
PREFERRED / REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Detail oriented. Basic computer skills and experience with spreadsheets, word processing and database. Previous employment in a cGMP compliant facility and in a pick & pack operations is preferred along with inventory control or quality control.

- The employee frequently is required to walk.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
