Machine Operator- 2nd Shift

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently to produce high-quality products.
  • Safely operate multiple types of mixers, fillers, pumps, and other related equipment when required.
  • Monitor machines during operation to detect any deviations or malfunctions and take corrective action as needed.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet specified standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery to keep it in optimal working condition.
  • Avoid and troubleshoot machinery issues and perform minor repairs as necessary.
  • Learn and understand basic customer requirements and the equipment and materials used in filling, packaging, and finishing.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including systematic production of batches blended and packaged.
  • Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner, drive Lean 5S initiative throughout the facility with emphasis on production run transitions.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with production team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and achieve production targets.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.

Job Qualifications

  • Education/Certifications: High School Diploma
  • Experience: One + years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferred Experience Previous experience as a machine operator or similar role.
  • Skills And Qualifications: Proficiency in operating and maintaining machinery, including knowledge of machine controls and basic troubleshooting techniques. Ability to follow work instructions and procedures. Ability to operate material handling equipment. Strong diligence to ensure accuracy and quality in production processes. Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues that may arise during machine operation. Excellent teamwork and strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Commitment to following safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a production setting for 8+ hours at a time and able to carry, lift, move, or push up to 50lbs to shoulder height repetitively. Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Exposure to warehouse environments with varying temperatures. Ability to move and climb mobile safety ladder.
