About the Role

This is an hourly, entry-level production manufacturing position located onsite in Carthage, TN. Relocation is not available, and the work environment is not temperature-controlled.

Position Hours: 2nd shift (4:30 PM – 3:00 AM) with a 10% shift premium pay. Overtime varies for Friday and Saturday and may be mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Accurately set up, program, and operate machines while producing products according to blueprints and work order specifications.
• Accurately measure products using various tools and methods.
• Effectively operate the End Former, Small Bender, Large Bender, and Hole Punch.
• Set up and program machines with product specifications.
• Read and interpret all measurements accurately.
• Perform routine service of machines.
• Produce quality products while maintaining customer and production standards.
• Ensure correct tools are used to operate machines.
• Inspect all work to ensure it meets specifications.
• Perform additional job responsibilities as directed by management.
• Participate in safety and skill training, demonstrating a high regard for safety at all times.
• Attend team meetings.
• Utilize lean tools (6S, visual factory concepts) to maintain order, cleanliness, and a safe work environment.
• Maintain a safe work area by following safety guidelines and wearing required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred.
• Ability to read a measuring tape, micrometers, and calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints (green sheets).
• Ability to accurately identify the correct tooling needed, determine cut length, and program the bender with measurements.
• Ability to identify sizes and numbers.

Skills & Abilities

• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to read measuring scales, tape measures, micrometers, and calipers. Ability to apply basic math concepts, including angles.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands

• Sitting or standing for a 10-hour workday as job dictates, with occasional overtime.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds with team lifting, including upward pulling.
• Ability to handle job materials, including sizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hands.
• Heavy or constant visual attention is required when performing the job.
