Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. This role operates conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines to fabricate metallic parts to production and quality standards in an ISO9001 environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operates machinery/process (manual, NC, CNC) in assigned work cell or area
  • Promote to next level: Learn/demonstrate repetitive ability to setup ALL Manual/NC/CNC equipment/processes in assigned work cell or area
  • Demonstrate ability to setup and operate ALL assigned equipment/processes in work cell, validation by Machine Coordinator and Production Leadership
  • Work cross functionally between machines and cells
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
  • Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications
  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers or others to resolve machining problems
  • Initiates and/or support process improvements and corresponding documentation
  • Trains other team members in assigned operations as needed
  • Maintain hourly/daily activity records supporting quality production
  • Affirm compliance to all safety, environmental and health standards, procedures, and practices

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must “OWN SAFETY”
  • Must demonstrate ability to read blueprints (title blocks, views, dimensioning, tolerancing, surface call outs, symbols, lines, etc)
  • Must demonstrate ability to use shop math as required (decimals three places or more, conversion of fractions to decimal, conversion of metrics to standard and reverse, how to determine angles and offsets, addition/subtraction/multiplication/division of whole numbers/decimals/fractions)
  • Must be a proactive problem solver, willing to learn and accept challenges
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and push or pull parts or containers frequently
  • Ability to read and understand job instructions
  • Pass pre-employment background check, essential functions assessment, and drug screen

Pay

Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Shift: 1st
Schedule/Hours: Mon - Thurs; 5am-3:30pm (schedule/hours may vary)
