Machine Operator (200 AMP) - 1st Shift

About the role

Operate rubber injection molding machines to fabricate rubber components. You’ll be empowered to lead, supported to grow, and proud of the impact we create together.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow plant safety procedures, prevent hazardous conditions, and wear appropriate protective equipment.
• Keep work area clean and orderly, maintaining Lean 5S standards.
• Participate in plant safety objectives.
• Demonstrate ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards.
• Implement and ensure compliance with ABB’s code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes.
• Handle all aspects of molding operations, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and revision control.
• Ensure quality operation of the process, perform quality checks and controls, including cleaning and maintenance.
• Maintain pre-determined efficiency, standards, and productivity rates.
• Prepare and maintain accurate production records following standard operating procedures.
• Track approved, defective units, and final product.
• Complete shift change forms with accurate information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior manufacturing experience or quality control experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform push/pull functions.
• Ability to work overtime and a weekend schedule as needed.

Skills

• Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand written instructions in English.
• Ability to bend, twist, and turn safely.
• Capable of standing for long periods.
• Good hand dexterity.
• Strong math skills.
