About the role

Provides continuous machine support by monitoring primary and secondary equipment for uptime efficiency and equipment safety. Understands MEEF impact to effectively communicate to Production Supervisor repetitive breakdowns. Resolves ongoing machine related problems such as full bowls, closing machine restarts, grinder jams, color changes, and purge removal from nozzle leaks. Performs beginner-level preventative maintenance tasks including repairing conveyors, material jams, and cleaning filters. Performs material changeovers (color changes, additives, etc.). Supplies materials to presses. Machine Operators Level 2 are not authorized to perform start-up after setup. Restarts injection machines for mold protection, intermediate troubleshooting, and fixes minor cosmetic issues (burns, string flash).

Responsibilities

  • Understands MEEF impact to effectively communicate to Production Supervisor repetitive breakdowns.
  • Solves ongoing machine related problems such as full bowls, closing machine restarts, grinder jams, color changes, and purge removal from nozzle leaks.
  • Performs beginner-level preventative maintenance tasks including repairing conveyors, material jams, and cleaning filters.
  • Performs material changeovers (color changes, additives, etc.).
  • Supplies materials to presses.
  • Restarts injection machines for mold protection, intermediate troubleshooting, and fixes minor cosmetic issues (burns, string flash).
  • Maintains proper documentation for all materials and machines.
  • Affirmatively assesses beyond mold protection for root cause.
  • Total scrap at end of shift.
  • Supports and maintains all company policies including ISO/SQF standards, Health and Safety requirements, and Continuous Improvement standard work procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have 1+ years of experience in a similar role. Intermediate level of technical skills in machine operation and maintenance. Basic understanding of MEEF and its impact on equipment performance.

Qualifications

Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to operate various machinery and equipment safely. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Skills

Intermediate level of technical skills in machine operation and maintenance.

Pay

The starting pay for this position is expected to be $19.00 per hour; however, starting pay offered may vary on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience between $20.00 and $21.50. There is an additional $2.00 shift differential for night shift.

Schedule

12 hour shifts. Shifts start at 6:00 pm and end at 6:15 am. Rotating days, 36 48 schedule.

Pay

$19.00 per hour, with a potential range of $20.00 to $21.50 per hour. Additional $2.00 shift differential for night shift.
