Machine Operator - Nights

About the role

Works as a member of the Axle Production department to assist in the operation of machinery in the axle Production area.

Responsibilities

• Operating all of the non-MIG welding machinery in the axle area.
• Ability to perform quality checks using calibrated digital micrometers, Veneer calipers, and go/no go gauges to ensure product is within tolerance.
• Proper paperwork/reports are to be completed to document build per work order specifications.

Requirements

Education and Training:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Prior CNC Machine Operator or manufacturing machining experience, preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to interpret production schedules and build specifications.
• Must be able to utilize torque wrenches according to specs.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment.

Physical Demands:

• Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp.
• Frequent use of firm grasping, fine manipulation, and pitching.
• Frequent forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to utilize overhead cranes.
• Must follow all safety practices and policies.
