Machine Mechanic (Temp) Provo

About the Role

Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul small engines used to power lawn mowers, chain saws, recreational sporting equipment, and related equipment.

No education or experience required. On-the-job training provided.

Pay

• Base pay: $22.36 per hour
• Overtime pay: $33.54 per hour
• Pay will not fall below the minimum wage rate required
• Pay is bi-weekly and may include piece-rate compensation

Schedule

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Some overtime and weekend work may be available
• Seasonal work: October 15, 2026 – April 15, 2027
• 20 positions available

Location & Transportation

• Work sites located in the Utah County area
• Transportation provided to and from job sites from a central Utah County pickup location within the 50-mile MSA
• Assistance finding and securing lodging is available at no additional charge, if needed

Benefits

• Employer provides all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform job duties at no cost or deposit
• Guaranteed work hours equal to at least ¾ of the workdays in each week of the employment period
• If the worker completes 50% of the work contract, employer will arrange and pay for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work
• Upon completion of the work contract or early dismissal, employer will cover reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence (except if the worker secures subsequent employment)
• Transportation reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved
• Daily subsistence provided at $16.78 per day during travel, up to a maximum of $68 per day with receipts
• H-2B workers will be reimbursed for visa and related fees in the first workweek

• Must be able, willing, and qualified to perform the work
• Must be available at the time and place needed
• Documentation of legal right to work in the U.S. must be presented at the time of hire
