Machine Maintenance Technician | 2nd shift

About the Role

The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This position supports safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. The role diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production equipment, including high-speed stamping presses, conveyors, material handling equipment, and supporting systems. This role works closely with operations to maximize equipment uptime, safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Work with stamping operations to ensure plant equipment is operating through diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair (mechanical or electrical issues).
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures and determine root causes to minimize downtime.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Maintain maintenance records and work orders in company systems.
• Collaborate with stamping operations to improve productivity through machine, material, or process improvements.
• Install and troubleshoot new equipment as directed.
• Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
• Ensure regular attendance, including the ability to work overtime as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Technical training in mechanical maintenance, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field is a plus.
• Outstanding safety record and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, email, and maintenance tracking systems (CMMS).
• Certifications: Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Crane, Forklift, Ladder, and Sling Certified.
• Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, voltmeter, and calipers.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation technologies preferred.

This role requires the ability to:

• Stand, walk, carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull, climb, walk up stairs, and crouch.
