About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying machine learning models to improve financial scoring algorithms. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, designing and implementing machine learning solutions, and continuously improving model performance through rigorous testing and validation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain machine learning models for financial scoring applications
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to enhance model accuracy and interpretability
- Implement and optimize machine learning pipelines using state-of-the-art tools and frameworks
- Conduct thorough model validation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and apply them to improve existing models
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in machine learning and data science
- Experience with Python, R, or other relevant programming languages
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and their applications
- Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science or a related field preferred
- Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed systems
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
