About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying machine learning models to improve financial scoring algorithms. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, designing and implementing machine learning solutions, and continuously improving model performance through rigorous testing and validation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain machine learning models for financial scoring applications
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to enhance model accuracy and interpretability
  • Implement and optimize machine learning pipelines using state-of-the-art tools and frameworks
  • Conduct thorough model validation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and apply them to improve existing models

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in machine learning and data science
  • Experience with Python, R, or other relevant programming languages
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and their applications
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field preferred
  • Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
