Machine Learning Scientist

About the role

We’re looking for early members of our research team. You’ll work closely with the founding team and have ownership of a wide variety of technical decisions on how we build and deploy our state of the art ML models trained with an H100/scientist ratio of >100x.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the founding team on technical decisions for building and deploying state-of-the-art ML models.
• Own the entire research project from start to finish, including data engineering, model design, training, and evaluation.
• Train large generative models from scratch, such as LLMs or diffusion models.
• Show extensive experience in training these models with distributed PyTorch.
• Show intimate familiarity with the entire stack of data engineering, designing, training, and evaluating machine learning models.
• Have a love of music (listening, exploring, making) which is a huge plus.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience training state of the art models with distributed PyTorch.
• Intimate familiarity of the entire stack of data engineering, designing, training and evaluating machine learning models.
• Track record showing independent ownership of entire research projects from start to finish.
• Extensive experience training large generative models from scratch (LLMs or diffusion models).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.

• Eligible to work in the US.
