Starting at $16.63/hr (no experience necessary), $17.84 with experience. Full-time, 10pm to 6am, Sunday evening through Friday morning with some overtime required when necessary, including weekends.
About the role
This is an entry-level hourly position with growth potential. You will assist operators on your assigned machine with setup, operation, clean-up, quality checks, and recommending improvements to operations.
Responsibilities
- Work at a fast pace set by the machine operator to adhere to the production schedule.
- Assist in the setup of slotting, feed, and die cut sections on the machine accurately, following proper techniques.
- Monitor board quality for defects and report problems to the operator.
- Complete all necessary reporting accurately and in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate willingness to move up the line of progression and cross-train on other machines.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety, and maintain good housekeeping.
Requirements
- Strong desire to learn and grow in a state-of-the-art, fast-paced environment.
- Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
- Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume, and rate.
- Able to apply concepts of high school math.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities, product layouts, production specifications, quality standards, and quality specifications.
- May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
