Machine Builder/Assembler

Job Responsibilities

• Fits and assembles machinery components according to assembly blueprints, manuals, engineering memos, sketches, and knowledge of machine construction.
• Operate jib, overhead crane, air/hand-powered tools, and forklift.
• Ability to problem solve new assembly problems as they arise and help to determine workable solutions.
• Adapt, perform, and communicate in a fast-paced, high mix/low volume fabrication shop environment.
• Able to measure with, read, and comprehend measuring devices such as tape measures, calipers, radius gages, go/no-go gages.
• Record production and inspection activities in computer-based business systems/programs.
• Conduct test runs with completed tools to ensure that parts meet specifications; make adjustments as necessary.
• Understand and follow procedures that comply with Company policies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of work-related experience is preferred.
• Must have a basic set of mechanic tools.
• Strong mechanical ability and blueprint reading with evidence of related experience is required.
• Prior welding, hydraulic, and electrical experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs. continuously, climb, crouch, and crawl above and below equipment.
• Able to speak, read and write the English language.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail is a must.
• Good work ethic.

Pay

Pay: $23.00 to $28.00 hourly. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
