Machine Assistant (3rd shift)

About the role

The Leveler Operator Assistant position supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates automatic leveling, sheeting, console-operated equipment to level length and stack weigh flat sheets of various gauges of material to customer requirements.
• Work from customer orders, engineered layouts, and general instructions.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma/GED is strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience with leveler machine.
• Prior steel industry experience and product knowledge are preferred.
• Operational knowledge of crane operation, forklift operation, and ancillary lifting devices.
• Production operation experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work on 3rd shift, 11:00pm - 7:00am, S-Th.

Pay

Pay Range: $26.27 - $28.27 per hour
