About the Role & Position Overview

As a highly skilled advisor you will combine creative and technical expertise with a passion for people to deliver a welcoming, inspirational, and personalized in‑store experience that educates and delights customers. Working with a high‑performing team you will drive in‑store events, maintain visual‑merchandising standards, and help the store stand out against competitors. The role is freelance, staffed at Estée Lauder retail locations, with Randstad as the employer of record.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized, high‑quality customer service and beauty consultations to in‑store customers.
• Execute visual‑merchandising displays and maintain presentation standards across the retail floor.
• Support and execute in‑store promotional events and product demonstrations to drive customer engagement.
• Maintain active knowledge of brand product offerings, features, and application techniques to effectively educate customers.
• Collaborate with store staff and team members to ensure smooth floor operations and optimal customer experience during scheduled shifts.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service.
• Availability to work flexible retail hours—including days, nights, weekends, and special events—in a fast‑paced environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (proof required upon hire/interview).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail or beauty‑industry experience.
• Familiarity with a retail sales environment and customer‑facing service execution.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods on the retail sales floor, converse with customers, and handle product packaging and display materials. Frequently required to reach, bend, and move merchandise weighing up to 25 lb.

The work environment is a dynamic, fast‑paced retail store with standard lighting and ambient noise levels.

Pay

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $21.60 – $32.40, depending on experience, skills, education, budget, and geographic location.
