MA / Medical Assistant - Medical Specialties at Harborview
Harborview Medical Center's Medical Specialties department has an opening for a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C).
About the role
This position supports the Neurology Clinic, Rehabilitation Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, and the Medical Operative Consult Clinic. These clinics treat complex disorders of the nervous system, provide comprehensive care for adults recovering from injury or illness, offer advanced treatment for thoracic malignancies, and perform specialized medical evaluations for patients preparing for surgery.
Responsibilities
- Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile medical records
- Perform injections and prepare and clean exam rooms
- Submit medication prior authorizations
- Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and accurately report to provider
- Act as a liaison between patient, patient’s family, and providers
- Assist provider with procedures and medical exams
- Perform point of care testing and report abnormal laboratory values
- Assist in transporting patients as required

Pay
Hourly pay range: $28.27 – $40.44
Schedule
Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Monday–Friday, day shift.
