About the role
This is a float position and will require availability to ALL clinics in the Treasure Valley. This position comes with a set schedule. Home clinic will be the Overland Clinic.Responsibilities
- Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician, which could include casting, bracing, and injections.
- Provide clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions.
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment.
- Prepare basic laboratory tests on-premises and prepare laboratory specimens.
- Perform phlebotomy involved with the proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages.
- Aid in managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service.
- Aid in identifying methods of improving patient care.
- Aid in managing details of patients, schedules, and referrals.
- Aid in emergency situations.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e., HIPAA.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of a nationally accredited MA program (EMT certification/experience and Military medical training and experience will be considered).
- LPNs and RNs must have a current license from the Idaho Board of Nursing.
- Venipuncture skills.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Customer service-oriented attitude/behavior.
- Computer proficiency. Ability to use applicable software as required to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Recommended vaccines to include annual Influenza, Hep B, TDaP, MMR, Varicella, and TB.
Qualifications
