MA Garrity Family Medicine Clinic Full-Time Days

The Garrity Family Medicine Clinic is now hiring for a full-time, team-oriented and personable Medical Assistant for our clinic located on Sister Catherine Way near our Nampa Medical Center.

About the Role

This position will primarily support a family practice provider and will also support family medicine providers and a team of other MAs and RNs when needed.

The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group Garrity Campus Clinic offers easy access to state-of-the-art healthcare services, conveniently located next to the Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa.

Responsibilities

• Administer immunizations and assist with minor procedures such as circumcisions
• Complete tasks and orders in the task inbox
• Support family medicine providers and a team of other MAs and RNs

An ideal candidate is an experienced MA with experience in family/internal medicine. You are a strong team player who has a positive attitude, is outgoing, detail-oriented, and has excellent patient flow and pace skills. You also have prior or current EPIC experience and confident communication skills with providers and other staff. You want to be part of a team that is positive, trustworthy, respectful, and passionate about providing the best patient care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire
• MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
  • American Medical Technologists (RMA)
  • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
  • National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
  • American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
  • National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network is required at hire

New Graduates: MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours, even with MA certification.

Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 year of MA experience OR current MA certification OR obtain/renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above.

Note: EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification. CNA work experience does not qualify applicants for the MA position.

Schedule

• 36 hours/week: 3 - 10 hour days (Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, from 6:45am - 5:15pm)
• 1 - 6 hour day (Thursdays, 6:45am - 1:45pm, Wednesdays off)

Shift start and end times can vary based on provider's schedule and clinic staffing needs.
