About the Role
As an MA at the Garrity Urgent Care Clinic, you will be working with a very driven and supportive team. The Saint Alphonsus Medical Group Garrity Campus Clinic offers easy access to state of the art healthcare services, conveniently located next to the Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa. Just a few blocks south of I-84 and Garrity, families in Nampa and surrounding areas have easy access to urgent care as well as family medicine and pediatric services.
What You Will Do
- Perform primary MA duties
- Perform phlebotomy
- Administer immunizations and prep injections
- Assist with minor procedures
- Complete POC and other tests
- Chart prep and medication reviews
- Complete tasks and orders in the task inbox
- May help out with the Family Medicine clinic occasionally
Schedule
- 36 hours/week, 3 - 12-hour shifts
- Every Monday and Tuesday, and every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Work shift will be around the hours of 7:45am - 8:15pm
- Clinic is open Mondays - Sundays, 8:00am - 8:00pm
Orientation and Training
- At least 2-3 full days each week in the first two weeks, plus self-paced e-learning
- Includes EPIC Training, Clinical Regulatory training, POC test training, and immunization training
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire
- MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
- American Medical Technologists (RMA)
- National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
- National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
- American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
- National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
- New Graduates: MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school, and completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification
- Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire
- EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification
