Roles And Responsibilities
- Support MDA/SEQV Systems Verification, serving as the MDA M&S agent.
- Develop and conduct sensitivity studies to assess radar performance characteristics within the scope of MDA M&S.
- Develop data analysis code to assess HWIL/Digital Models against their requirements and determine their suitability for stated intended uses in MDS simulations.
- Research technical papers on models and identify data pertinent to model VV&A.
- Collaborate with counterparts from other stakeholder agencies, such as software developers and accreditation agents, to establish adequate V&V evidence and correct modeling issues.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- BS and/or MS in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science discipline and 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Possession of a Secret level security clearance (or higher).
- Expert working knowledge of radar fundamentals; experience with environmental perturbations that affect radars, such as refraction, atmospheric absorption, scintillation, and sky noise is desirable.
- Familiarity with MDA radar LRIDs (logical record indicators).
- Understanding of radar discrimination methodology, especially with respect to wideband features.
- Experience with radar debris mitigation logic.
- Experience with radar modeling and simulation or tactical hardware experience, with a combination of both preferred.
- MatLab and/or Python experience a plus.
Additional Notes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while reporting results as part of a team.
- The candidate should be able to work in an open, collaborative environment and have good written / spoken communication skills.
- No travel is anticipated with this position.
- This is NOT a telework position.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $110,000/year to $140,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
