About the role

We are open to hearing from candidates who thrive in a team-first environment and are interested in joining our national private equity M&A practice. Successful candidates will have 3-7 years legal experience in M&A, with an emphasis on private equity transactions. Preferred candidates will also have excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills, a strong academic background, a J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School, an active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, and ability to be promptly admitted in Minnesota.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the negotiation and documentation of private equity transactions
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on M&A matters
  • Conduct due diligence on potential investments
  • Prepare and review transaction documents
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations
  • Collaborate with other members of the private equity team

Requirements

  • 3-7 years legal experience in M&A, with an emphasis on private equity transactions
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills
  • Strong academic background
  • J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School
  • Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and ability to be promptly admitted in Minnesota

Pay

The salary range for this position varies by geographical market. In Minneapolis, the estimated starting annual pay range is $210,000 - $260,000 / year. The compensation offered will be dependent on the candidate’s experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
