M&A Analyst

This position supports the coordination and execution of the organization’s strategic growth program, including merger and acquisition activities, divestments, and key strategic initiatives such as M&A target pipeline development. The role works closely with the VP of M&A, the Director of M&A in Europe, senior management, and line‑of‑business leaders to develop and analyze strategic opportunities using financial and qualitative analysis, provide business recommendations, and identify risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive financial and valuation analyses for acquisition targets.
• Build advanced financial models to value potential and actual target opportunities, leveraging a broad understanding of valuation, finance, and accounting topics.
• Lead due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of potential and active projects.
• Develop and deliver presentations that highlight financial analysis and diligence findings.
• Participate in project meetings with key stakeholders and advise deal teams on development, presentation, and reporting of key project milestones.
• Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including preparation of bi‑weekly pipeline development updates.
• Research and analyze company and industry financial and operating information.
• Integrate information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis, and streamlined reporting.
• Deliver financial modeling to support strategic recommendations to clients.
• Identify process improvements and propose solutions to increase efficiency.
• Think creatively and propose new solutions.
• Work mostly independently while knowing when to ask for help.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or comparable roles.
• Strong analytical modeling skills and M&A project‑management experience.
• Buyside due‑diligence expertise and focus on deal tracking, pipeline development, and post‑closing integration.
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic; ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with demanding stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence for collaborative work with internal and external constituents.
• Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, and capable of managing diverse teams during due diligence.
• Advanced Excel modeling and presentation skills.
• Strong mathematical, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated sound judgment and ability to work cross‑functionally in a matrix environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and with others, maintaining a customer‑service mindset.
