This per diem Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) role offers varying levels (I, II, III), with placement based on qualifications and experience. All levels contribute to patient care under the supervision of licensed medical professionals, with increasing responsibilities at higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Per Diem LVN I:
  • Provide nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Coordinator.
  • Apply clinical nursing knowledge and demonstrated skills to ensure patient and family safety and comfort, adhering to legal, organizational, and professional standards.
  • Identify priorities and make judgments concerning the basic needs of multiple patients to organize care.
• Per Diem LVN II: Includes all duties of a Per Diem LVN I.
• Per Diem LVN III: Includes all duties of a Per Diem LVN I and II.

Requirements

• Graduate from an approved vocational nursing program.
• Current and valid Texas LVN license.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• 6+ months in a clinical area or successful completion of the KSC LVN Residency program.
• Computer experience.
• Proven ability to use equipment and related supplies for the selected patient population in the assigned clinical area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Per Diem LVN II: 4+ years in a clinical area.
• Per Diem LVN III: 9+ years in a clinical area.

Pay

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $20.38 to $36.44 per hour based on full-time employment, depending on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
