About the role

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) delivers technical nursing care to Residents using the nursing process, functioning as a member of the nursing team under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LVN may assume charge nurse role in the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).

Responsibilities

• Delivers technical nursing care to Residents using the nursing process.
• Functions as a member of the nursing team under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• May assume charge nurse role in the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
• Applies good clinical judgment, plans work, establishes priorities, and maintains flexibility.
• Prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physicians.
• Ensures that narcotic records are accurate for your shift.
• Reviews medications and completes information.

Requirements

• At least one (1) year experience as LVN.
• Current California LVN license.
• Graduate from an approved LVN program with an associates or equivalent degree.
• Current CPR Certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to use a computer proficiently.
• Organizes and directs shift responsibilities and duties.
• Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care.

Skills

• Written and verbal skills.
• Ability to apply good clinical judgment.

• Compensation Philosophy: 30 pay increments on pay scales for 30 years of relevant experience. Compensation range $29.16- $41.57. Sign on Bonus $5,000.00.
