About the role
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) delivers technical nursing care to Residents using the nursing process, functioning as a member of the nursing team under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LVN may assume charge nurse role in the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
Responsibilities
- Delivers technical nursing care to Residents using the nursing process.
- Functions as a member of the nursing team under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- May assume charge nurse role in the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
- Applies good clinical judgment, plans work, establishes priorities, and maintains flexibility.
- Prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physicians.
- Ensures that narcotic records are accurate for your shift.
- Reviews medications and completes information.
Requirements
- At least one (1) year experience as LVN.
- Current California LVN license.
- Graduate from an approved LVN program with an associates or equivalent degree.
- Current CPR Certification.
Qualifications
- Ability to use a computer proficiently.
- Organizes and directs shift responsibilities and duties.
- Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care.
Skills
- Written and verbal skills.
- Ability to apply good clinical judgment.

- Compensation Philosophy: 30 pay increments on pay scales for 30 years of relevant experience. Compensation range $29.16- $41.57. Sign on Bonus $5,000.00.
