LVN: Cancer Urgent Care, Per Diem

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Aids in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Completes and maintains accurate records of patient care and equipment.
• Assists in direct and indirect patient care as assigned.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Demonstrates competence and sensitivity in caring for multicultural patients and families.
• Works effectively in a multicultural team environment and respects cultural diversity.
• Performs phlebotomy if applicable.
• Takes on more complex tasks and organizes/directs duties for the clinical team.
• Maintains high standards of performance for clinical team members.
• Assists with new employee interviews and orientation.
• Performs specialty procedures such as catheters, injections, Mohs surgery, and prepares injection medications.
• Coordinates complex care as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience as an LVN.
• Strong keyboarding skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Current LVN license to practice in the State of California.
• BLS certification.
• Phlebotomy certification (preferred).
