About the role
As NFM’s Appliance Designer, you will assist customers in planning and designing high-end indoor and outdoor kitchens. Your work will directly impact our ability to help people create a lifestyle they love.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to discuss style preferences, project scope, and investment plans.
- Advise clients on space planning, layout, and color coordination to ensure practical and aesthetically pleasing designs.
- Present quotes, drawings, and product specifications for client approval.
- Order products and accessories for customers.
- Follow up with clients to confirm satisfaction with all designer services.
- Research and compile lists of prospective customers from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, websites, and other sources for use as sales leads.
- Generate sales in designated territories for new home and business construction.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 3 years of retail sales experience.
- Product knowledge preferred.
- Appliance background (school or work experience), including the ability to read blueprints and layout floor plans.
- Interior Design, Architecture, or Art background preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends based on business needs.
Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, drug screen and criminal background check.
Pay
$30,000 base pay + commission (average earnings $65,295 - $81,747).
