Lunchroom Supervisor Posting Request

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising groups of students during lunchtime in the lunchroom and on the school playground.
• In the case of inclement weather, supervise students indoors.
• Serve lines, while students are eating, and resolve minor issues.
• Secure trays, access food, seat students, and manage dismissal procedures.
• Circulate among tables to provide assistance and address student behavior.
• Interact with students in a positive and age-appropriate manner, modeling positive communication and diplomacy.
• Report any injuries, accidents, or illnesses to appropriate authorities.
• Follow the school food safety plan and report any spills or garbage issues.
• Work collaboratively with all school staff and food service staff.
• Supervise students outside or in other areas of the school, ensuring their safety and engagement in safe play.
• Report all safety concerns to appropriate authority.
• Understand and implement school evacuation and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in a school setting preferred.

Physical Demands

• Talk and hear.
• Close vision required.
• Work in environments with varying noise levels, including very loud conditions.
• Stand approximately 60% of the time for up to 30 minutes.
• Walk approximately 40% of the time for up to 30 minutes.
• Navigate a school playground area which might include wood chips, grass, concrete, or other surfaces.
• Work in temperatures as low as zero (0) degrees Fahrenheit, wind, light rain, sun, and heat.

Pay

$19.00/hour
