Lunch Monitor, Heiman Elementary School

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the cafeteria during lunch periods in serving lines, while eating and during cafeteria dismissal.
• Supervise students outside the building on school grounds, including playground equipment, ensuring the safety of all students.
• Maintain discipline in the cafeteria according to school and district policies.
• Aid in maintaining the cleanliness of the cafeteria.
• Aid students during lunch periods as needed.
• Maintain positive and professional communication with staff, students, parents, and other community members.
• Understand and adhere to school and district policies and procedures.
• Be familiar with and apply school discipline procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Qualifications

• Ability to sit for long periods of time, deal with numerous distractions, possess visual, auditory, and ambulatory acuity, and have upper body strength to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Skills

• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Effective communication skills with individual and groups of elementary school age children and others.

Pay

• $18.01 per hour, not eligible for benefits.
• Range 15 Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recent Greeley-Evans School District 6 rehires, up to $28.86 per hour plus benefits.
