About the role
Lunch Monitor positions at Shawsheen Elementary School provide supervision of students during lunch periods and on school grounds.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a role model for students, demonstrating appropriate behavior and following school policies.
- Supervise students in the cafeteria during lunch periods, including serving lines, eating, and dismissal.
- Maintain discipline and ensure the safety of students on school grounds, including playground equipment.
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the cafeteria.
- Provide assistance to students during lunch periods as needed.
- Maintain positive and professional communication with staff, students, parents, and other community members.
- Adhere to school and district policies and procedures, including PBIS and discipline procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Effective communication skills with individual and groups of elementary school age children and others.
- Positive and professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of and adherence to school and district policies and procedures.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, respond to student needs quickly, and maintain visual, auditory, and ambulatory acuity.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Pay
$19.26 per hour, not eligible for benefits. Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recent Greeley-Evans School District 6 rehires, up to $30.86 per hour plus benefits.
Schedule
(2026-2027/ 182 Days) 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
